2012 Doomsday?

Doomsday? 2012? The End of the world as we know it? I doubt it. Let's think, shall we?

Would God reveal the end of the world to a civilization that became extinct hundreds of years ago? Why would he warn them of the end of the world, if he knew they weren't going to be here when it happened? Why wouldn't He reveal doomsday to those who are going to be alive when doomsday comes. It's sort of counterproductive to tell a bunch of folks when doomsday is coming, if they aren't going to be around to see it. Think: Why warn them? This doesn't make sense.

No, If there is a God, and He is going to reveal the end of the world to someone, it would be much wiser (on His part) to tell those who would be affected by it. And to tell someone who would warn others about it. It would be much wiser to tell...

1. Political leaders. That's what He did in Nebuchadnezar's case (Daniel 4:5). The Lord was going to bring the king low for 7 years because of his pride. But He didn't do it without warning the king first. God gave the king a dream, and Daniel the prophet came and explained it fully to the king so he could understand what and why God was going to do. And that's what He did in the time of Belshazzar in Daniel Chapter 5 as well. The fingers of a man's hand came and wrote on the wall. God revealed to the king what he was about to do. That's the right way to do things of this nature...Warn the leaders, so they can change things appropriately and warn the people.

2. Religious leaders. Tell Jeremiah, so he can warn Zedekiah (Jeremiah 38:5). Tell Elijah, so he can warn Ahab. Tell Moses, so he can warn Pharaoh. I mean, really! The end of the world is coming, and God doesn't tell any Catholic Leaders? The end of the world, and God doesn't tell any Bible-Believing Preachers? Honestly! The end of the world, and God doesn't tell any Jewish or Muslim or Hindu leaders? Think about the insanity of this. The only one who is telling us that the end of the world is coming is a calendar from a defunct civilization. Come now. What kind of God do we have? I don't know what your concept of God is, but this is utter insanity.

See, If I was God, (and you can be glad I am not) I wouldn't send "The End of The World" on all mankind and not tell anyone for hundreds of years. No, if I were God, I'd send my men out on the streets and warn people like crazy. Like Noah, who builded the ark and preached for 120 years, warning and warning. True, no one listened except Noah's family, but God made sure to do his part of sending his preachers.

Doomsday 2012? The end of the world? And the only warning we get is from some Photo-shopped Hollywood movie, and some off-the-wall weather-beaten out-dated calendar? Nope. It just doesn't fit the pattern of all the other times of judgment in human history.
