A Doomsday Movie Idea

Far into the future of the earth, a massively humongous asteroid is recorded to be on a collision course with the planet earth. The asteroid is as large as the sun. The fate of the earth is confirmed & it is to be doomsday. The asteroid's sheer size would pulverize the entire planet thus wiping out all forms of life on earth. I still have not decided whether it would be an actual star like the sun or just a massive chunk of rock like asteroid in the movie.

The day is projected forthcoming 20,000 years into the future. There are two options for the then leaders of the planet. The first is to evacuate all human & necessary life forms to ensure the survival of humankind in outer space. It means building the largest self sustaining spaceship the world has ever seen. Also, it would be a fascinating treat for science fiction movie enthusiasts.

Issues like who is to be saved then occurred because there would not simply be enough funds or resources to save every human on the planet. Also, the project would have had to be kept a secret & so would the news of the imminent disaster that awaited our planet. Many incidents would stem out of the decision of going with the first option. However, it is to be another story altogether.

The second option is to unite all of earth's nations & combine all resources for one purpose only which is to save the entire planet & all of its living creatures. Two unbelievably large rocket boosters each about the size of Texas are to be built on the opposite sides of the earth & named the Doomsday Project. Also, the entire world is informed of earth's fate.

The north & south orientation of the rocket boosters are disapproved at the early stages of the Doomsday project because the heat generated from the giant rocket boosters would cause significant melting of the north & south polar ice caps resulting in unimaginable & perhaps even irreplaceable damage to the earth's environment. Therefore the idea is easily dismissed because it would beat the purpose of saving the planet earth.

Earth's two largest superpowers combine to begin building a unified earth under one nation. It is surprising how leaders of some countries held to their greedy & selfish ideals even at the brink of extinction of human life. Or perhaps it is not so surprising at all. Some countries joined the alliance without hesitance while some other countries required persuasion & eventually wars are fought & won. Only pockets of Cults hell bent on dying on the Doomsday event are recorded. In general, the Earth's nations are now aligned to save the Earth.

Then the unified nation of earth had roughly only 15 000 years to complete building the four giant booster rockets which would move the earth off its axis & safely out of the giant asteroid's killing path. In turn, the two other rocket boosters on the opposite side of earth would operate to return the planet earth to its original position. The booster rockets would have to be equipped with thrust vectoring for maneuverability. Now the Doomsday Scenario story would be deserving of a sequel.

Do You Believe in The 2012 Doomsday Theory?

There are many different interpretations of the 2012 doomsday theory; some are a bit more radical than other versions. There are different opinions of the masses in regards to the belief of the doomsday theory. One section of our population believes that absolutely nothing will happen on that date and dismiss it as nothing but utter nonsense, while another group takes it very seriously and is preparing for the end of the world as we know it.

The idea that nothing will happen on December 21, 2012 might very well be true, but what about the predictions of the Bible, Aztecs, Mayans, and Nostradamus, can they all be wrong about the end of the world?

The exact date of the December 21, 2012 doomsday theory isn't shared by all, for example the Bibles interpretation of doomsday is called the end of days and does not give a specific date when the world as we know it will to come to an end. The bible tells of events leading to the apocalypse, such as political unrest, world disasters, etc. Some people believe that these events have already been set in motion.

Ancient cultures have predicted that the end of the world will occur in December 21, 2012. The Mayan calendar, for example ends on December 21, 2012 which has let to speculation as to what events will take place at that time. Some people believe that a spiritual change or new world order will take place, while another group feels that there will be a disaster of cataclysmic proportion. Whatever way you interpret the Mayan theory it does appear to be somewhat vague.

Another theory is based upon the predictions of Nostradamus. According to a group of people, there exist the lost books of Nostradamus which they claim he has written of three anti-Christs, Napoleon, Hitler and the third, which has not yet come to power, but will come from an Asian nation which will bring about the final war and the ultimate destruction of the world. Nostradamus is believed to have predicted President John F. Kennedy's assassination, the September 11th terrorist attacks and other disasters.

What it boils down to is which theory do you believe is true? Do you believe that the world as we know it will come to an end or maybe you don't believe in the doomsday theory at all and you feel nothing is going to happen on that day? Even if you feel that December 21, 2012 will just be a regular day you might want to prepare yourself for the possibility of mass hysteria that could occur from the people that do believe the end of the world will happen on that day.

2012 Doomsday Prediction - Cause For Concern Or a Big Hoax?

The 2012 doomsday prediction has been talked about for decades, but didn't elevate itself into the mainstream conversation until the movie 2012 came out about a year ago. How can this mystique be interpreted? The bible mentions in the book of revelations that there will indeed be an end of days with such disasters as plagues, famines, and more.

The bible doesn't give a specific date as to when the end of days will occur, but there are other predictions for example the Mayan calendar predicts that the world will end in December 21, 2012 at least that is when their calendar stops. There are other prophecies that also predict that the world will end December 2012 which have some scientist and philosophers believing that indeed we are approaching the end of civilization as we know it. This is just a theory, but it does make you think that with different resources arriving at approximately the same month and year that maybe there could be something to it.

Some people believe that the world will end December 21, 2012 while other people believe this world will go through a transition period on that date, and the world as we know it will change in a way civilization never imagined. On the other hand the scientific community and the Mayanist scholars say there is little if any universal agreement among them about what the date might mean.

If you are religious you believe that the anti-christ will assume world domination overseeing a one world religion for a period of time until the battle of Armageddon, when Christ will assume the throne for a thousand years.

What it boils down to from a biblical standpoint is a battle between good and evil.

Some theorists believe that certain events that have taken place indicate a prelude to the end of mankind which has been going on for quite awhile now. Natural disasters such as global warming, floods, earthquakes, social and political unrest and even the threat of nuclear war have been predicted for the December 21, 2012 doomsday event.

If the world as we know it is going to end how will it happen? Will it be like what is prophesized in the bible in the book of revelations when a new world order will take place, or will it be a series of natural disasters that will devastate the planet? If it is natural disasters will we be able to do anything about it? I believe the answer is yes. Civilization has always managed to rise to the occasion in the face of adversity even when it looked like everything was falling apart.

You have been exposed to a few theories in regards to the December 21, 2012 doomsday prediction. One side says new world order, while another group says global devastation, and still another group states that nothing out of the ordinary will happen on that date. You decide for yourself, is it a cause for concern or just a big hoax?
